PUEBLA MAGICAL TOWNS

If you do not know what to do this weekend , we let you know some magical towns in Puebla you can visit.

Atlixco, Zacatlán, and Cuetzalan are some magical towns of Puebla, find out a little more of them.

Atlixco Aztec name formed from Atl, water Ixtla,plain, valley (from Ixtli face,surface);Tla, abundance and  the final syllable Co, which indicates in; the set froms the word Atl-ix-co which means “Water in the valley or on the surface of the soil ”.Atlixco is located 44 minutes from the city of Puebla also it is called “the best climate” in the world  for its temperate and stable temperature throughout the year and fertile landscapes with all kind of flowers and Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl volcanos .Atlixco is known for having the best flower in the region.

The name of Zacatlán is formed by two words of Náhuatl origin:Zacatl,zacate “tlan ”,place;“Place where the Zacate abounds”.

Zacatlán is located 2 hours and 23 minutes from the city of Puebla. It is a city located in the Norhen Sierra of Puebla. The town  is known for its production of apples , berries, cider and fruit wine, products are promoted annually at local fairs such as “Fair of Apples  ”and “Fair of Cider”. Zacatlán is also homeplace to the “Relojes Centenario ” company (started in 1918), the first clock factory in Latin America and provider of the city main square’s monumental double-sided flowers  clock.

Cuetzalan is composed by two Nahuatl words –quetzalli, which refers to the beautiful Mesoamerican bird quetzal, and by the suffix lan, which means «close to.» Cuetzalan is located 2h and 45m from  Puebla City ,It is a small native town set high in the hills in the north of Mexico state of Puebla. A paradise in the mountains ️.  It is characterized by sloping cobbled streets and numerous rustic buildings. The Landscape where town is located is famous for its beauty  and vegetation.Town center is composed largely of handicrafts markets as well as numerous cave system and waterfalls.
